Ex slave I know how you feel. I too am having difficulty with motivation. Don't know what to do, don't want to do anything. It comes and it goes. One day good and one day bad. It is temporary though, and I will feel better soon. So will you. Not to negate your 130 days (which is fantastic I say), but you are only 7 days Nic free and what you are feeling is pretty normal. I agree with the others about checking with the doctor - makes sense. What also makes sense is a change of attitude. How good you feel to be not smoking. How awful would you feel if you were smoking - coughing, no energy, dizzy, nauseated - POISONED. You are working on becoming an Ex-slave, right? This is a process that takes time - there is no time-line. Close your eyes....You are at the BEACH BABY, and you are lookin good (in a bikini of course - not nakid). You are winning!!!! Ol-Nic is knocking at the back door saying "Let me in - this is too hard." SLAM IT - HARD. You can do this.!!!! I know you can. Have confidence. BELIEVE IT!!! ex-slave, You are on the right track. I am glad you are going to talk to your doc. If you were already on meds for depression it is quite possible the dosage needs to be adjusted now that you have quit nicotine. As Danielle mentioned...micotine can be a way of 'self-medicating' for depression.
