Hi Sous, You're afraid what you put in your body with the gums.... Think about this for a moment: What you have put in your body was way way worse than the input of gum. The gum has only nicotine and a cig has more than 1000 kinds of poison in them. The negative thoughts you have right now can be turned into positive thoughts. Try that and you will feel better soon. What you are feeling is totally normal. That is the good news. You are in the midst of withdrawal and this takes a major toll on your emotional and your physical equilibrium. The bad news is that you may not feel great any time soon. It varies from quitter to quitter. Your attitude can make a huge difference. But I personally felt depressed for quite awhile. Wondered when I would ever feel normal again. Wondered if I was capable of being joyful! I had to blindly trust those who went before me. I had to just take their word for it that this too would pass. So now I am one of the oldies telling you just that. This will pass. I can not tell you when. But I can tell you that it will. And once it does and you really taste the joy of freedom, you will wonder what in the heck took you so long. Hang in there!!!
