slivers, i don't give up on people just don't give up on yourself ! I tell you no lies when i say that quitting smoking is probably the hardest thing any of us will have to go through in life. Even long time quitters need to work at staying quit All i'm saying is it aint easy.... thats why so many of us hang out here - It's good to help & be helped from fellow ex-smokers Slivers Don't be scared about quitting cos you don't get cravings as an ex-smoker My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 736 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 18,415 Amount Saved: $4784 Life Gained: Days: 106 Hrs: 9 Mins: 31 Seconds: 1

Hi, Slivers. I hope you stick around to read these posts. If you don't feel you are ready to quit at this time, not committed enough to do it, then perhaps you have not learned enough about this hideous addiction. You, your words, sound like someone who is a bit depressed. Guess what one of the common side effects of nicotine deprevation is? Yep, depression. The depression passes, Slivers. If it is too much for you, there are anti-depressent drugs such as Wellbutrin (Zyban), and others. NRTs will also help by weaning you from the nicotine. Cold turkey isn't for everyone. It wasn't for me. Talk to your doctor about these things. This isn't an issue of willpower. This is all about wanting to quit more than you want to smoke. You will get there, Slivers. Do not stop trying, and you will get there. Luck has nothing to do will quitting, Slivers. I wish you strength. Slivers, the great thing about this site is that we are all different in many ways. Everyone here is from different parts of the world, men and women, young and old. It doesn't matter who you are, how old you are or where you are from. There is no judgement or discrimination of any kind. This is what I love most about this site. We all have one thing in common and that is we are all addicts to cigarettes and we want to quit. Please stay with us, and do not feel embarrassed. Smoking is one of the hardest addictions to break and we all know that here. Stay strong and good luck.
