Hi crabby, Everyone is right. It is temporary. For me it came and went. I found it hard to concentrate on anything....So I tryed to avoid somethings. I have 2 kids, so in most cases I was ok to be a babbling nut..Driving did scare me for a while. Take your time, slow down. Listen to music only if it helps you concetrate. Breath, have gum for car. Just make sure you are looking and focused on driving. Tabby, The Carbon Monoxide is leaving your body. Carbon monoxide is a poison, so this is most definitely a good thing, but it causes us to feel spaced out, like we can't concentrate, like we can't even function in our everyday lives! It's scary, yes, but it's also temporary. The carbon monoxide SHOULD be out of your body soon, and you will find that you will be able to concentrate again soon. Right now, just be good to yourself. Try not to take on too much right now (I know, easier said than done) and just take it easy as much as you can. I know that life still has to go on and we can't just escape from it for a while like we'd like to, but you've GOT to take some breaks and slow down as much as possible and make allowances for the fact that you're not your true self right now. crabby, Here's an explanation and hope it helps; This indistinct but annoying symptom is linked with carbon monoxide withdrawal. It gives a sense of being in "another dimension." It can include changes in distance and space perception, a floating feeling, and a total lack of concentration. Remember that carbon monoxide is a deadly poison - it is a good thing to get out of your system. How long will this last? The first few weeks after quitting. Tips to help: Plan your workload to account for your temporary lack of concentration. Avoid additional stress during the first few weeks. If you have a symptom that persists or seems worse than you expected, you should immediately consult a doctor.
