Jada, you've received many good advices from quitter friends. Pls hang in there. This too shall pass! :)
Please try all means to protect your quit. In the early days of my quit, I had similar problems ... The cravings were so great! That's why I decided to use additional NRT lozenges (beside my NRT inhaler) to calm it down! :)
Cheers,
nmc

Jada,
You got it! One's too many and a thousand is never enough! Congratulations on making it through Hell Week! Heck Week is very similar to Hell Week, and then from there it starts to get much better. You don't want to give up now! You've come WAY too far to throw away those 7 days! Hang in there. As always, this will pass.
What are you doing when a craving comes along? Are you sitting there relishing having a smoke and longing for it, or are you trying to distract yourself by doing something else? Have you rewarded yourself for 1 week of freedom? You may be craving because your brain has been hardwired to think "reach goal - prize" and if you haven't rewarded yourself, then your brain is wanting the only "prize" it's really ever known. I mean, when we smoked, every time we would accomplish something, we "rewarded" ourselves with cigarettes. So now you need to reward yourself for your hard work. And enjoy that reward! You deserve it for one awesome week! :)
Crave the Quit!
Pam

Hi jada,
Stop....take some deep breaths. Keep in mind that these feelings are only temporary as your body is trying to re-adjust. Accept the cravings for what they truly are and move ahead. You CAN do this, one step at a time, one foot in front of the other. C'mon now chin up. You're doing great! Don't let "Nic" have the upper hand. He's only playing his sick twisted games with you. Now....Smile :)

Congratulations Jada on day 8!
We are proud of you for getting through this rough spot!
Exhaustion is a trigger for some so be sure to take care. Don't forget to reward yourself for staying smoke free!
Danielle

Jada you're doing good. The fat drinking straw crimped at one end really helped me in the beginning. I may have looked funny sucking on a striped straw but who cares. It does get better so hang in there. judy
