Rhonda, congrats for making it through. Every crave and hard day you conquer makes you stronger.
The first few weeks I tried all kind's of new gums and mints. It's kind of fun, so switch things around a little with the gum, so it doesn't get old.
Keep up the great quit, and stay strong.
Kaiti

Rhonda,
I lived on this site my first two months. I took the words and advice with me even when I wasn't on my PC (I can't drive and post at the same time....that would require to much of my simple mind!! LOL).
You can do this Rhonda....find your determination and your strength and hold on to it for dear life to get you through these harder days. I promise you...freedom is up the road and around the corner...you just gotta make it there!

read. post. read. post. read. post. There has been a lot of temptation floating around here lately. It's like Ol Nic has learned how to virus this program. Don't let him. Read those old posts, not even very old really. There are a lot of specifics you can pick up.
Most notably (sp) for you right here - right now is hang tough, real tough. Living a smoke-free life is what you want to do. We are witnesses to this effect. you said so. we are going to help you stick with that. For me, I know when I look in the mirror when I'm in the throws of a crave, I find what I see disgusting.
You need to protect you're quit. We can't come out of the computer and knock you silly. Protect your quit. Protect your lift. Get serious!! :eg: Get tough!

Hang tight, you will have good days and bad days. Day 8 was my worst day of my whole quit. I still remember, it was a Sunday. Drink water, eat dum dums and chew on the stick. Don't smoke!

Just checking in to see how you are doing? The craves do pass, you just have to wait them out! It does get easier...the first two weeks are the worst.
Stay Strong

Rhonda it does get easier as Phil says. Right now I hardly think about it, except to be smug when my co-workers are going outside to freeze their a**es off! Right now I know you are getting tired of the fight, but just remember how much better it will be when the fight is over, you'll no longer be controlled by a drug. Hope today is going better for you.
