I had a problem with the 21mg patch. It burned and kind of blistered the place I put it.So I tried a 14 mg and I could use that. Hope you get quicker news from the doc than I did. Feel better soon please let us know how you ae doing
Hey everyone....thanks for caring about me! I went to the dr. and apparently I had an allergic reaction from the patch. They gave me a shot of prednizone and a script for prednizone. I have not smoked at this point but I have been cold turkey now for 2 days since I took off the patch. I felt initially with the patch I could do it. She gave me the script for Chantix -the new stop smoking pill.

Hi all...wanted to see if anyone else experienced this prob. I was on the nicotine patch for 7 days...have not smoked at all. My body is having some sort of reaction to the patch, it is burning and stinging , my face broke out in a rash on both cheeks and I am taking benedryl to help.... My entire body hurts...not just where the patch was. Just like carpet-burn or something. I have called my doc's office and they are gone to lunch. Any suggestions.

I haven't had this problem but wanted to respond the the "scared" part. I don't have the box any more. what does it say? if it gets too bad I wouldn't wait for them to get back from lunch, i would go to the ER. I'm not advising that, just saying what I would do. How long do you have to wait for the dr. to get back from lunch?

Talk to us when you can about how you feel on the pill. You have eight wonderful days (I feel like I'm on Seasame Street). I want to see your quit protected. Perhaps the pill is what you need. Stay close.
