Imallclear, Generally, we recommend you follow the full course of treatment recommended to you by your physician or pharmacist. If you keep forgetting to wear the patch, you may want to consider switching NRT's. You can also try pairing your NRT with another activity you do daily such as brushing your teeth. Place your boxes of patches next to your toothbrush. Hope this helps. Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi again. It occured to me, lying in the bath, trying to get through my hardest time yet, this quit, that you are in BLAH week. So you've got this quitting thing down, and you think now what. The honeymoon is over, withdrawals are done, Hmmmmm. It's pretty normal for week #3. Take the time to think about those other things you're wanting to accomplish. Do some planning. You may not be ready to tackle them 100% yet, but think. Remember that this is a process of recovery, and we will not make it happen all in one week. It's going to take some time. It will require a lot of patience. It's not just about not-smoking, that is where all that other stuff comes in - the emotional stuff, the confidence. You may not "think" you are working on it, but you are. It's like a child's first year of life. They learn so much - but not all in one day - little by little. Some weeks, nothing happens, and then the next week - it all comes together. It will all come together in time. Sorry for the rant!!!! Keep strong. Just wondering....Have you got a patch on now? If not, why don't you put one one. Just sitting there trying not to think if probably not a good idea. Get up or try and distract your mind with something else. It's hard I know. I keep wondering back to the bedroom and lying down. I keep hearing voices when I do that, so I'm back at the computer again. You can do this. You are doing it!!!!! Remember H.A.L.T. - Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired. Don't let these things be a reason to give in.
