donna, I used to have that feeling all the time, mine got so bad that I would have the same feeling at all of my pulse points. It's just the anxiety working on your nervous system, which then makes your heart beat faster and harder. Have you always had problems with your blood pressure? I was thinking that maybe your blood pressure is high because of the anxiety. once you totally get the anxiety under control I bet your blood pressure will go down too. Don't worry about your heart pounding though, because if the doctor said everything is fine, then it is. I went through all of the same tests when mine was acting up about 7 years ago, and I didn't beleive it when they told me my heart was fine and that my nerves where the cause of it. I suffered for several years with the fear of having a heart attack until one day I got mad about it and said enough is enough I'm only in my twenties and I'm going to enjoy my life. It didn't take long for the sensations to stop. Anxiety is weird in that way it will manifest itself in alot of different ways. through the years I've been treated for heart problems, insomnia, headaches, back problems, colon problems, stomach problems, depression, ADD and who knows how many more and the whole time it was anxiety and panic. conquer it and all the others will go away.
