I was on Paxil 20mg for a year tapered myself and off ended up a month later needing back on the Meds my doctor put me on the CR 25mg I have been taking the CR for 2yrs now and about a month ago I ran out and had no money so I still had some of the regular Paxil left over from before, I talked to my doctor over the phone and got the O.K. ( I was terrified of doing this, however I had no choice)The only difference I noticed either time was that the CR seems to work a little better other than that i really didn't expirence anything really bad at all. What is the difference???
I have been on low dosages of Paxil since i was diagnosed in 2000.
First it was 5 mg. Than they moved it to 10mg in AUg 2001. ANd when I had my relapse this past Oct they moved it to 15 mg.
The new benzo(klonopin) works on the Pa's but I am still anxious so I don't think the paxil is working any longer.
Which is why I have scheduled yet another appt with pysch for 2/9. I want to gather as much info as I can to see what I can do.
I have a low tolerance for any kind of meds which is why my doses are low. Even tylenol...
