I just wanted to share with you all that tonight as I go to sleep on my first day (tomorrow will be my official first day since I had one at 6:00 am) that I am truly grateful for the technology of this site. When I was I kid, I was probably the last of a generation to play with an international ham-type radio (I don't really know all this stuff). Anyway it was some type of cool radio that looked like it belonged in a 1930's living room (we inheirented it from a great aunt that had it in her living room in the 1930's. It had lots of buttons and we pushed them at random into the night talking to people speaking all kinds of languages.) The advancement of technology is phenominal (I told you that I couldn't spell worth a lick). And I appreciate the connection that we are able to make with each other and I am grateful to the sponsors of this site in creating a platform to help us along. Anyway, feeling emotional after smoking what I believe to be my last cigarette, best regards and good night, imallclear My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Imallclear, I often think of the fact that I can talk to someone in, say, Bolivia, from my home in California, and we can laugh and cry, and help each other in this quit business. It touches my heart in a way nothing else ever has, and brings a tear of joy to my eye. Remember that. There is a world of people out there for you. We will talk and laugh and cry and talk to you. We will teach you. But only you can choose not to pick up and light another cigarette. Break the addiction, choose freedom, we are all rooting for you. Good for you Imallclear, one day done. Just wait it out. We've all been where you are right now, and you can get through it just like we did. Just wait it out. When it gets really tough, just wait a little bit. Try a mantra today, "It passes, it gets better. It passes, it gets better."
