I made it!! Thanks. Hope tomorrow is not a repeat of today. I did sit out there for about 10 minutes. It wasn't as warm as it looked..LOL Then I took a nap ...but didn't sleep too good. Wasting time watching a little TV. I should find something more constructive to do. You guys are great Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 635 Amount Saved: $138.57 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 2 Mins: 52 Seconds: 6

Still Clean, I'm doing better....not that it's a good day...but better than awhile ago. My son called...so that distracted me for a bit and i had to pick up my dog from the goomers. That took some time. I think I will get my dog...pillow....cozy blanket and cuddle on the couch a bit and take a nap. I was thinking. The weather feels much warmer than it is. Sort of spring like. (that is if you can call spring upper 30's.)...but after the single didgets it feels good. Perhaps subconsciencely I am thinking about sitting on the back patio step and smoking and enjoying the spring-like day. Maybe that is where this agitated angry feeling is coming from. I know in the old days I would be out there with a cup of coffee... berber coat and cigarettes. Maybe I should go out there with another cup of herbal tea and show myself I can still enjoy the fresh air. Thanks so much to you all for taking the time. I read every word... and you are sooo right. I left for a bit and made a healthy chicken sandwich.. and am about to make a cup of herbal tea. I don't want to mess this up. I have quit many times. I think I have tried to quit many more times than the normal quitter. I have this gut feeling that if I blow it this time I will be convinced I won't be able to become a non-smoker. I just have to do it this time. I don't want to "not" like myself anylonger. Besides..my health needs me to quit. I have always had lots of energy. I even hiked 7 hours at Mt Rainer. Then this summer the fibromyalgia I have had a bad flare. I could not get better and lots of blood work and specialist found I have SLE Lupus and it is attacking my connective tissues along with the Fibro. The name of the game is to have the least amount of flares possible. That means BEING HEALTHY AND DOING HEALTHY THINGS. So... I now eat mostly organic and all natural. I am still having a bad time with muscle pain. Now the worst thing for this is chemicals and stress... and I know that there is over 4,000 dirty chemicals in cigarettes. How can I ever improve my health if I don't quit. Quiting is being good to myself. I know that...but a part of me tells me I would feel better if I just smoked. It says:.."Life was better" I'll keep reading. Surprisingly... I also read that there has been posts on this not too long ago. I quess I should have read all the topics first before I panicked and posted this. Thanks so much Pat. They say to come here first. I can't seem to get going today and have sooo much to do. I remember the days I smoked and wizzed through the chores. Now I no that it is a lie to think that way. Sometimes when you get busy it makes it go away and time passes. I just feel so fidgety and outta sorts. What is worse.. I'm not even PMS..ing LOL lOL Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 630 Amount Saved: $138.57 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 2 Mins: 8 Seconds: 1

Hi everyone, I am into week 4....and for some reason today, outta no where... I am having a hard time. For the most part it has been a real positive quit. I can't say that I am dying for a cigarette...but I keep thinking about it. I seem to have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I am a good natured person...mild tempered...but I feel like smashing everything in the house. I don't even know what the heck I am mad about. I just feel anger inside..very eddgie....and some sort of fustration. What is supid about the whole thing is that nothing is wrong!!! I keep thinking if I was smoking I would not be like this today. If I had just one cigarette I would become myself. Now I know that's a lie as I am sure I must have had bad days as smoker too. I keep telling myself.... it's all lies.... just all lies. That I will really feel yucky if I do something stupid. Any words of wisdom or encouragement sure would be appreciated. I just can't blow it now. Oh Please hurry Mercy :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 630 Amount Saved: $138.57 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 2 Mins: 6 Seconds: 55

Hi Mercy. I had a day like that yesterday. I understand what you are going through. Just hang on and keep reminding yourself that you are a non-smoker now and you're not going to blow it out of frustration and moodiness. It's easy for me to say now, I know, but I really struggled yesterday and now I'm soooo glad I stayed strong. Good luck! I had a sneak attack myself, it was in week 5. Just a few days or so I had to fight off that addict in my head. It wasn't too bad. Just get through them, You have done it before, you can do it again. I actually forgot that I did that (last week)until I read your post. Hope this helps and remember to breath, drink, or whatever to get you through. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/8/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 668 Amount Saved: $184.8 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 2 Mins: 55 Seconds: 58

Mercy, I have fibro too, so I understand some of what you're going through with that....sorry to hear about your Lupus with it, that has to make it much worse. Flare ups alone aren't nice I know, but you need to keep doing your low impact excercises as long as it won't make the Lupus worse. I used to find swimming was great, especially in a heated pool, but walking has always been the best for me. I still use my bathtub as pain therapy. Good luck and hang in there. Mercy, Hang on tight till the big guns get here. It could be the 30 day pit I keep reading about. Use all your coping skills...you're doing so great! It's only the junkie thoughts and you are stronger than it is. I believe in you. Stay strong and positive Mercy. Maybe go for a quick walk to get the blood pumping or find a good joke to laugh at. These will release endorphines into your system and help improve your mood. More experienced quitters will be here soon with even better advice. :) Pat My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 980 Amount Saved: $336 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 20 Mins: 43 Seconds: 19
