loana,
Normally it is extreme rare to faint during a panic attack, because even though we feel dizzy and lightheaded our blood pressure spikes a bit during an attack, in order to faint, you have to have a sudden drop in blood pressure, which is the opposite of what happens. Do you perhaps have borderline low blood pressure, that when you have attacks, it wouldnt take much to drop for the fainting spell?
Also on hyperventilation syndrome you can buy a gadget for about $30 that helps to measure the air intake, so you know if your breathing from the constricted chest area (heightened hyperventilation) or proper abdominal breathing.
