Deb...I am usually on at night so I will IM you if I see you....It's a pretty good site. Although you should give yourself lots of latitude as far as the dieting thing goes....You are doing great with your quit...so you deserve to treat yourself well! I gained some weight during my quit but it is half off now....and I am going to be stronger and fitter than before I quit by June.

5 mins - stair machine (to torture myself)

I forgot to say thank you for the tips Danielle...I am trying to add more protein and eat slower ( I seem to do better at this if I eat BEFORE I get really hungry)
Interesting - I totally replaced cigarettes with food. I honestly believe that I could not have focussed on healthy eating AND quitting at the same time. After gaining 10 lbs (5 was in one week), I had one night in bed where I had a total pity party and contemplated liposuction. Since then, I've become obsessed with learning more about healthy food and exercise. I'm exercising more AND I have way more energy to do it. Today I ran for 30 mins on the treadmill...when I smoked I probably couldn't do more than 5.
I still can't figure out why everybody isn't HUGE in this world. I went to the grocery store and loaded up on fruits and veggies while everybody else had white bread, hamburger, potato chips, etc. (If you see some strange lady going through your shopping cart, it's probably me)
Anyway.......today stats - Weight 155 (3 more lbs to go and I will weigh the same as I did when I quit)
1495 calories (counting my smoothie tonight)
52.7 % carbs
27.7 % fats
19.7 % protein
Oh yeah....45 mins treadmill, 5 mins stair machine, 10 mins bicycle and about 10 mins weight training.......

Okay Andy - Here's a big kick in the butt for you...It's too bad you don't live here......I would love to have a work out buddy
I have discovered that there is no way that I can lose weight without working out because I like eating WAY too much. (Now...here's the problem....When I work out, my muscles get sore. When my muscles get sore I need a nice hot bath with ebson salts. A nice hot bath just isn't any fun without a fruit smoothy. A fruit smoothy has MORE calories in it!)

I ran for 15 mins on treadmill and did a 45 min cardio/weight training class.
I really want to check my weight but I decided to only do it once per week.
Oh yeah.........and I need help....I ate probably the equivalent of a mixing bowl of salad tonight and I still could have eaten more! I had pitas with hummus and veggies for lunch and I was still hungry. The only thing that filled me up for more than an hour was my protein bar from breakfast.
Any ideas on foods that will make me feel full for longer????

Wow - I've got alot to learn..........This is harder than I thought it would be. I have cut out snacks (No more nutty buddies) and trying to reduce portion size but I'm STILL going over. I pulled something at the gym yesterday so took the day off today. Hot bath with epsom salts tonight and back to the gym tomorrow morning.
