Stay strong and don't give in, Linda.
Its only natural for you to crave one time or another...so just go with it, and keep reminding yourself why you hate this disgusting habit.
good luck.
Thank you all!
So I guess there are others who have experienced cravings at the 30 day mark. I never would have thought that....hmmmm...glad I posted. I wonder what it is physiologically or psychologically that causes that?? I appreciate the input and support. Thanks you guys!
Linda

I don't know why, but it's been 33 days since I smoked and today seems to be a day when my body is really craving one. Don't know why. But it's like I smoked 15 minutes ago and would like to have another one????? I haven't had an urge like this for most of the time since I quit. I'm not doing anything differently. Not sure what's goin on. I'm not going to smoke, but it just pisses me off that I'm craving one at all. I don't want to be reminded of cigarettes and I want it completely behind me. Posting because I know that you can all relate....Thanks! Linda

Take deep breaths Linda.. slowly, in and out. Go for a walk, throw in a movie, read/flip through a magazine and it - the crave will ride itself out. I know it's a horrible feeling but it will pass. If it has already passed and another arrives just ride the wave and don't cave to the crave.
Sending you a great BIG ((((((((((hug))))))))) ! and a pretty, serene pic... breathe hon....

That dang 30 day crave........I have no idea what causes it...perhaps it's the milestone. You are doing well and the craves will go away (but you already know that) Keep up the good work!

Hi Linda,
In the first days of my quit I woke up one morning and wanted to smoke. I took my dog and went out for a nice long walk. That helped me so good that I do that every single day. Guess what? Now I'm addicted to walking.....so much better than smoking.
Love Dutch :)

Linda,
Get back to basics, time for a good distraction and a reward. I know it's frustrating but you can overcome this!
