Hey Den,
I wish I could help you but I have a short term memory anyway. I think it is age. Be proud of yourself for making 50 days. Are you thinking of smoking that your mind wanders?

I'm not staying real focused these days either, but I just don't feel ready to get focused yet. You might want to talk to the Doc about it. There might be something else going on here.
I will talk to mine next month (at the end of my 12 weeks with Chantix).
I am happy with my quit! Spring is around the corner and there will be much to do with yard work and home spring cleaning.
Exercise always made me feel better and without the fog of tobacco smoke...I'm really looking forward to what Fresh Spring Air smells like again!
Another aspect could be your nutrition. Are you getting enough Vitamin-B...?
Keep your chin up and Keep the quit..

Does anyone else have trouble focusing for a long period of time with quitting smoking I seem to be having a heck of a time keeping things straight during this transition period. It seems to be lating forever I quit the welbutrin after consulting my Doc and still have a hard time. I'm hoping time and renewed reading and educating on all subjects is going to help. Please advise is this normal or should I be seeking help from a doctor on this matter. Don't like to be a hypocondriach but hate this feeling I have.

Very normal indeed! I really questioned my sanity at the beginning---I think it's the carbon monoxide leaving our bodies that causes this temporary memory loss!
Load up on Omega 3-tuna, salmon, blueberries, etc...

Den, I am certainly no expert on this but I would bet you are going to get a mass of responses that affirm this is normal....
We use to say, I can't concentrate so we would go have a smoke...now we have to figure out something else to think about.

Give yourself time Den....50 days is a huge goal and one you should be proud of..... This journey takes lots of time to sort it all out and put it back in place withOUT the use of nicotine. Feeling somewhat at a loss, a bit confused, out of focus, looking for the reason??? it's all part of your mind clearing from the haze of nicotine. You will be fine.....keep the faith......and don't forget to be REWARDING yourself!

Den,
This is normal and can occur within weeks of your quit. You should also continue to work with your doctor if this persists. Keep a journal and discuss it with your doctor to better assess the situation :)
