for 18 år siden 0 12 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
this happened to me on saturday night, i went out and i know i shouldn't have but i did and sure enough i smoked about 5 cigarettes. But i haven't had one since saturday and i didn't have any withdrawals. I have only been smoke-free for 15 days minus that one day. You can do it, it actually made it easier for me because i realized it wasn't worth it. Hi all, I slipped up to night I had two cigs, I am hoping that I won't have to go through the terrible withdrawls again, can 2 cause withwrawl? I am determined not to make this mistake again, I have had alot of stress this week but as we know that is no reason to start again. I hoping that 2 will not put be back to day one of withdrawls and does anyone have any input on that? I just want to get on again with out smoking and hope I can start at the same plae as before instead of living that worst week. Your support is appreciated!

Nicotine puts special receptors in your brain for only nicotine. After a time of no nicotine they go to sleep and then they don't bother you. But if you smoke even one puff, or go to a smoky bar or a smoky anyplace, they wake up like hungry baby birds, and demand to be fed, immediately. So expect, not extra or more withdrawals, just more craves. And just because I've been there, I'll tell you one more thing. The thought keeps running around in your head, you gave in that time, give in now. Don't listen, don't give the junkie thinking any more power, and go back to the beginning with your coping skills and use every one you have to put those receptors back to sleep. One step at a time, one day at a time, you do so deserve the freedom. Junebug, Are you using any NRT'S at all, to help cope with the cravings? Good for you notice a slip right away and treat it as that...a slip. And good for you for posting, the support is there. One day at a time, and you can do this. June, Every quit is different. The important thing is that you get back in there and really prepare for this. You know why you have those two, so be prepare for this next time and crush that crave and throw it away. Take it day by day! Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
