Hi, I'm new to this forum and was compelled to write after just getting back from vacation. I'm at the point where I'm realizing I have panic attacks and possibly Agoraphobia. It started at work a few years ago where I would avoid going into an office with closed doors, and has increased from there. On the way back from vacation, I started having attacks in the taxi, then in the lines at the airport, and anytime the pilot turned on the seatbelt sign to say we couldn't get up. Without fail, these "attacks?" are accompanied by an upset stomach which usually results in me fleeing to the toilet. I'm now not sure if I'm more scared about not being close to a toilet, thus bringing on an attack, or if the attack is affecting my stomach. I've been diagnosed with IBS. Its getting to the point where I'm afraid of standing in line or any situation where I might feel trapped. My doc put me on prozac but I felt horrible on it. Tomorrow I'm going to look for a counsellor.
Sorry for all this babble. I guess my main question is...does anybody out there have serious upset tummies with their attacks? Do I have to spend the rest of my life on Imodium AD and then Milk of Magnesium to counter-affect the Imodium once I'm in a safe haven?
Thanks for listening.Text
