Today is my second day on Effexor XR 37.5mg. Yesterday went ok. I took it in the morning with food. During the day, I had some nausea, some sleepiness, and then at night one big panic attack that lasted for like 40min. I was mostly shaking and crying. SCAREY! This is the main reason why I never follow through with anti-depressants, cause they give my anxiety and panic attacks. I live alone, plus I am scared to death of taking meds, so this is one of the hardest things I've ever done. I didn't sleep well at all. I was up every hour. I am taking Xanax .25 like 4 times a day. But the .25 won't get me through the night. I wonder if I should ask my pyschiatrist about a sleep aid? Or if that's a side effect of the med that might get better? I'll see tonight when or if I fall asleep, how fast I wake back up.. Anyone have any suggestions?
