Grace, it would depend on what you mean by the "making it." If a slip means that you don't "make it" then there are a lot of us who didn't "make it" including myself. I've "slipped" 3 times since coming to this site in June of 2005 (I rejoined a few months ago). So, I think "making it" is a very subjective thing. A slip doesn't mean that the person won't succeed.
Second, I think that there is a direct link between posting and keeping a quit and Mr. Ed started a very thought provoking thread on this very subject a while back... I'll see if I can find it and bump it. Yes, I think that those who "invest" more by posting a lot and getting involved tend to do better, but that's not, of course, a guarantee. I have seen MANY extremely active posters slip and/or relapse and even have multiple relapses... even though they post a lot. I also know MANY people who just lurk and don't post a lot, and mainly only post on their milestones who are quite successful at the quit even though they never post. So it really just depends on the person. But I do think that everyone is doing a fantastic job right now and no matter what the reason is, we are all here being successful at the quit and that's what's important.
Crave the Quit!
