Guess what?---The sun came up today, just like every day. I am still smoke-free and a bit calmer. I'm still upset with my husband. This is not something new...I work as many hours as he does and my paycheck is needed to run this house. I take on almost all of the childcare responsibilities and household chores. It should not be that way and my revolt has very little to do with quitting smoking. I wish I would have handled myself better....I really did hurt my thumb!
Sorry if I insulted the men on this site, but I bet ya heard it before, eh? ;p Thanks for 'listening'.

Thanks guys, I wish I would have read this before I made such a scene just now!!! Called my hubby before we both left work...said I have had it...I am going home and calling it an early night. I picked up the kids. Once at home I again told him I am not making dinner, I am not doing anything tonight...I have had a very, very, bad day and have a really bad headache. He goes into the living room and stretches out on the recliner in front of the TV. The ten year old whines she is hungry. I hint for several minutes and the SOB lies there. So....I start throwing **** in the kitchen, breaking everything I touch (including my thumb, I think!!!) HE STILL DOESN'T GET IT!!! ARE MEN RETARDED?????? We exchange words, the ten year old takes chicken nuggets and mac and cheese to her room to eat. Now I have to vacuum broken glass while he, again, goes sits in front of the TV---I HATE MEN!!!! He actually sees nothing wrong?!!!

Marie and Savvy: I tell you, the drop from 14 to 10 has been almost unnoticeable. My experiment is going very well and I am sooo glad I am doing this.... I must say, though, that I think most of ALL successful quits is psychological. So it's hard to say it is successful so far because of the more gradual reduction or because I am more determined...(?) I did have one of my 'smoking' dreams last night. I dreamt that while cooking dinner, one of the older kids left a pack of cigarettes on my kitchen table. I picked one up and smoked it without thinking. An accidental smoke...I woke up in a sweat...it was so REAL! I wonder if those New Zealanders add a little subconscience stardust to their patches? :)

Windy: I truly enjoy your whining also---it gives me comical ammunition to respond back with! :) Besides, it's not 'whining'---it's called 'sharing'. My last quit I got on here and ranted so much about how I couldn't stand anyone, to include myself, that I was afraid some of the other members had employed the SSC mafia to find me and take me out :8o: My fears were unfounded---I later learned it is a cyberspace organized crime family with no actual power (headed by Phil, the I-bahn Netfather) who is currently on vacation! :)

down in patch strength!
Felt pretty good on the 14 mg, so I tried something this morning...dropped to my New Zealand 10 mg. Today has been pretty good. From here on out, I am taking it slow...I am going to finish 7 days on the 10 mg and then probably stay on 7 mg for a full two weeks. I am just tickled with myself and thought I would share with you!!!
Okay windy---what the heck is an anvil---isn't that something like a hammer????
I'm sorry you didn't get the shoes, but I'm awfully glad you got a pair of jeans!
I'm real concerned about this hammer/anvil thing---Jan58 said something about crawling under those covers...I better go back to that other thread and warn her that your husband is armed with an anvil---whatever that is!

No offense to men, but you can't 'hint' when it comes to talking with men. If you want them to cook dinner, wash the kids, put them to bed, then you have to be straight forward in asking them to do so. You can't 'hint' at it. They just don't 'think' that way all of the time. *just my opinion on the matter*
They aren't retarded, they are just wired differently.
