Hey Guys!!! I'm so glad to see you forming a quit group!!! I think C.A.R.E. is a GREAT name for you guys!!! Ln, to answer your question, the most ACTIVE and oldest group I know of are the Unsmokeables, who quit in February of 2005. In that group is Duffis, UFO, Major Dude, Georgie and a bunch of other quitters who still check in fairly frequently. However, there are the Mid-December 2004 quitters, but as far as I know, Rusty's the only one of that group who still checks in on a regular basis. That's the oldest quit group I know of that still has members who post on a regular basis. Then, the Clover Club, which was quitters who quit St. Patrick's Day 2005, there were 4 of them, but now only 3. Then, there were the Summer Buddies, who quit in May of 2005, but that group pretty much died. The Smobers were June/July 2005 quitters and Lady, Cheryl and myself (although I since started a new quit) are members of the Smober group (people who quit drinking are sober, so people who quit smoking are Smober). Then, August 2005 quitters are known as the Fresh Air Freaks. The Survivors are the September 2005 quitters and the Ex-Smoker Jokers is the October 2005 quit group, of which I am the sole remaining member who has not since either reset their meter or left the site completely. :( Then, the November 2005 quitters are the November Butt Grinders and then there are the December 2005 Holiday Breakers and January 2006 Ash Kickers and the February Knights of the Empty Ashtray and March Smogfree Shamrocks and now... our latest quit group, the C.A.R.E. OK, so there's a rundown on the quit groups on the SSC. I'm sure there are some before the Mid-December 2004 quitters, but I don't know about them. I'm sure you didn't need or want all that information, but you got it anyway! :p Way to go you guys!!! Keep up the awesome work!!! Crave the Quit! Great poem Eve! Ln, Keep hating those cravings!!! I'm glad that you hate them! By hating them, you can keep from ever wanting to do them over! But just remember that every craving is a sign that you are healing. Each craving is one craving that you never have to have again... as long as you don't smoke. And those 20 days?!?! You are 20 days closer to never feeling this way ever again! I'm glad that the time is flying by for you. For most people, the first few weeks drag on... by the time I'd been quit 3 weeks, I felt like I'd been quit 3 months!!! So I'm glad that it's going fast for you! Keep going all of you! I love your group and the energy that you all have. I have one word of advice though... I've seen A LOT of quit groups since I've been here, but I've found that the ones that stick are the ones that are smaller, not bigger, are maybe 1-2 weeks apart, instead of a whole month or longer, and have a strong leader. Those are the ones that tend to make it. I think you guys have what it takes to be a great group! Keep encouraging each other! You're doing awesome! Crave the Quit!
