This morning was really rough. I wanted a smoke for about 4 hours this morning. I thought about stopping at the store, didn't do it. I thought about bumming one from a co-worker, didn't do it. I thought of all the different ways to get a smoke without actually buying any, like it would make a difference. About lunch time I noticed I didn't want one anymore. I've had a few more cravings today, but no where near as bad as this morning. This is rough but I am a nonsmoker.
Well done! Keep up your strength. You get a gold star for that one! There are products out there to help those craves should you need. I'm not sure if you are going cold turkey or not.

Dave,
Congratulations! Three days is a great accomplishment! Kudos to you on resisting temptation. Be sure to reward yourself for staying smoke free. Cravings can be tough, many members find a distraction and a piece of gum or candy helps.
Keep persevering!
Danielle

Hi Dave - A harsh reality - craves are temporary, death is forever. You can tough it out - You have 4 HUGE days of no cigs, that's GREAT! You will think about the store - a lot. Then you won't anymore - but we take it moment at a time. Inch by inch, it's a cinch. :) It's easier to carry light loads than heavy ones. Dave - congrats on quitting smoking!
Stay strong and fight hard!

Hi dave ~ and a warm welcome...
Craves have to have power and energy to stay alive...so as time passes, if we don't allow the crave to overpower us, it simply passes...
Stay focused and make sure to build your toolbox of coping skills for the tough times...
Stay close and post often - and make sure to do the program on the left, friend.
Blessings and Light-
Healer
