Don't worry about drama and angst. Your quit is your own and however you experience it is fine.
Please feel free to share your story here. Cry, whine, scream if you need to. Think about what happened and then decide that no matter WHAT happens, you will never light up again. Fantasize in advance a HUGE stressful event, and then fantasize not smoking during it and what you would do instead. Promise yourself that if you are having a bad moment, you will come HERE and post and wait for replies.
I was putting my Mom in an Alzheimer's unit during the first weeks of a quit. The junkie tried really hard to tell me that I deserved a cigarette because I was in such emotional pain. But, I stayed glued here and posted and answered myself in my head when I couldn't be here. The support here is incredible - do NOT underestimate the power and wisdom of those who are travelling this road before, with and behind you. This place and my commitment saved my quit. I love your determination and wish you the best in making this your final quit. Sincerely, Carole
