Paula,
and the idea of me talking myself out of it is not winning
Have you smoked? Then it IS winning! As long as you're not smoking then you ARE winning and the nicob@stard is losing! Don't let those cigarettes keep control of you! As long as you let smoking be an option, then you will keep torturing yourself by thinking about going and getting a pack. Smoking is NOT an option. You don't smoke! You're not a smoker! Therefore, you can NOT go get a pack! As far as the weight is concerned, it sounds like the junkie inside of you has taken your rational brain captive and convinced it that it's a rational and logical idea to smoke to lose weight. News flash: going back to smoking will NOT, I repeat NOT make you lose the weight you have gained! I learned that the hard way! Yes, smoking does seem to help us maintain our weight and not gain much, but the weight you have gained is NOT going to magically disappear from your thighs because you have started smoking. 200 calories a day... you think you can burn an extra 200 calories a day by smoking... do you know how much that really is? That's less than 1 regular soda! That's like 1 candy bar! So cut out one soda... or one candy bar... and you have done the same thing as smoking... without causing yourself cancer, emphysema, heart failure, bad breath, etc... Paula, you have 43 hard earned days on your meter! Do you REALLY want to give that up for... what? What really would you be giving it up for? A nasty, stinky, disgusting plant wrapped in paper that causes cancer, COPD and other diseases and costs you thousands of dollars every year! You've got a wonderful quit going... don't blow it on a stupid addiction! You're a great quitter! Don't give up! Crave the Quit! My want to quit is far greater than the need to fill my body with over 4000 chemicals. This is but a moment in time, the cravings will come to pass. You are stronger than the crave. One day at a time hun. It's been a few days I Have talked to myself and told me I quit and that I don't need a cigarette...ok .. But it seems as if it is no longer and option here I want a cigarette I really do ... and the idea of me talking myself out of it is not winning .. i have tried doing things to take my mind off of it but it is not working ... i'm on day three with strong cravings once again... I just want to go and get a pack... I have picked up weight so much weight as far as i'm concern even though others don't think so but they are not the ones that have to try to get in clothes or seeing if they can wear clothes they already have... I can't exercise right now because of the severe back pain i have been having so what am i to do... trying to find a diet pill to help ... and wasting money because they are not working fast enough ... if i smoke again i can burn that 200 calaries per day .. and get rid of this fat... and satisfy my craving too ... wow.. this is a trip how many days and times will and must i go back to this point... i don't want to go through withdrawls again i can't bear it .. but dealing with the cravings is not joke either... please .. i do need prayer.. help Signed Confused....
