I can relate, it is the head game we play. Last weekend i looked at a pack of cigs and said yes i want one i picked it up looked at it smelled them and then said no put them back down and ran out of the room. I just keep saying nope not one puff ever that is what I have to do everytime it comes over me and it does. If you can get threw these test they make you stronger at least they do me. Just go to bed when it gets bad and ya stay away from liquor, bars, low lifes, drugs, anything that may cause you a trigger at least for a few months this will make the quit much easier for the most part. keep it up you can do this just be strong and make a choice one to not smoke. Life is full of choices it is just making the right one. I still cannot allow myself more than one drink, or I may do the same thing you did last nite. I sure hope you are feeling better today, and I want to commend you for making the right choice. It won't always be that hard. Early in my quit nights were harder for me, so I just went to bed. Pretty boring, but I got through it. You will too. congratulations there timetodoit... personally, i really felt secure in being a non smoker when i was able to go out, have some drinks and not smoke. it's a great feeling and nice to wake up without the blahs from a night of smoking. so, hopefully you recognize your accomplishment, feel proud for resisting what you know you don't want to do, and feel stronger for it.... again, congratulations! Thanks so much guys :) You're the best! And Yes! I made it through the night! After my long run(well, long to me...4 miles) this morning, any *thought* of picking up a ciggie got squashed...for the rest of today, anyway :) I'm about to go reward myself with wings, iced tead, and chocolate cheesecake! And buying a new cologne with the money I've saved up so far! Riverdale man - good on you man, >200 days! I sat parked outside of CVS for an hour, talking myself out of and back into and back out of buying a pack. I literally sat there, paralyzed, unable to convince myself to start my car and drive back home but also unable to convince myself to walk in, buy a pack, and smoke. I've been sitting here reading posts non-stop for the last 15 minutes hoping to find something to stop me.... If I can hold out until I fall asleep, I'll be OK in the morning. Definitely no more nights out for a while. This is hard enough without having liquor and low lights around. Wow. That hour was...hell. I hate being an addict.
