hello everyone...i know its been awhile since i been here but im still not smoking. i have just been keeping myself really really busy. i find it hard to post a lot because i liked to smoke when i was on the computer. i have had that spacy feeling that i read about on here. how long does that usually last? Ugh that spaciness is the worst! I've been referring to it as "CRS" (Can't Remember S*&%). It's terrible, isn't it? When it gets really really bad, I will just remind myself that this is my body showing me exactly what I've done to it. Someday it will go away, and my focus and concentration will be 10X what they ever were when I was smoking! Best of luck to you, and congrats on your quit this far! This indistinct but annoying symptom is linked with carbon monoxide withdrawal. It gives a sense of being in "another dimension." It can include changes in distance and space perception, a floating feeling, and a total lack of concentration. Remember that carbon monoxide is a deadly poison - it is a good thing to get out of your system. How long will this last? The first few weeks after quitting. Tips to help: Plan your workload to account for your temporary lack of concentration. Avoid additional stress during the first few weeks. If you have a symptom that persists or seems worse than you expected, you should immediately consult a doctor. Its possible that your smoking has been masking symptoms of some illness, and when you stop smoking the symptoms abruptly become noticeable. Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
