No mind reading. Been there, done that.
Start on the cheap stuff that chews easy. Throw pillows? Any upholstery that needs replacing anyway. Once your done with those, then move to the wooden parts. If you split them just right you'll end up with toothpicks that are real good for getting the strings out of you teeth.
Drink water. You've already found that helps.
Just remember, you are going through nicotine withdrawal. Any smoking will just prolong it. Better to just do it and get it over.
