Dear In-Dependance, Hey, why not sleep? It really will help you. Pamper yourself right now. Even if it means being "unproductive". At least you didnt smoke! I too had panic attacks. All of a sudden, fear took over my body. That did fade after the first week though. Now it is rare. I cannot relate on the fatigue thing. Somehow, I am not very sluggish. But I do take a nap! Oh, oh, oh - the gas thing. You should search some posts on that subject. You will find many, many people going through that. You will get a laugh out of it! Congrats on your smoke-free day! Today has been a terrible day, panic attacks, extreme fatigue, and abdominal gas like no-ones business! I have be feeling very anxious all day, like I need to get out of here! but to where? I could sleep all day but then the guilt comes in to torment me for not being productive. But I have to say that through it all, I did not seriously consider smoking ( although o=it might smell better than the last symptom I mentioned. Is this normal

I think my brain is getting to mush fresh air.......does funny things. Thanks for the support everyone, I don't often post but I read everyday and it is very helpful. I don't know what it is but I quit a few years back for 1 1/2 years and for some reason this time feels different and it is a positive difference I might add! PS: forgot to show my meter last time! Hi, Yes, it ALL sounds very familiar.. You have to read the fart thread, it is hilarious.. it will ease your anxiety :-). The fatigue is just starting to get better for me. This week I have felt much better, it was the worst for me during week 3 and 4. I drank enough coffee to kill a horse and I was still very tired. On top of my full time job and single parenthood I am also a full time student. I felt so guilty about needing to sleep, but I just decided that if I get a C, that is just too bad, it is really time for me to quit.. for good. So, stay committed, it will all pass with time. I was on the elevator with one of my employees and he told me that today is his three year anniversary.. WOW! I just keep thinking "look at him, he made it and if he can do it, then so can I". He has a ton of energy, so it must return eventually. Hang in there!! Independence... drink a lot of water and take some deep breaths to help with the panic attacks. You are perfectly normal. If the day can't end soon enough then go on to bed. Be good to yourself during these early days of your quit. You are going through a lot mentally and physically. It's ok to hide under the covers if that's what it takes. Keep going. You are doing fine.
