Nearly Through Day 1...come on bed time!!1

for 19 år siden 0 18 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I am nearly through my first day! I've only had 2 moments where I was HANGIN' for a fag...I watched the clock pass the 5minutes each time and thought about how I'd feel writing publically that i caved on day 1!!! Now i've only got about 3 hours until bed time (Aussie time).. so i figure I can make it. The cravings are not too bad, but i feel like my head is aching from thinking 'cigarette' all day (it was a little difficult watching my colleagues smoke, but i just stay inside so at least i couldn't smell it! I kept faith by remembering all those incredible stories i had read last night! I also took my dog for a 5km walk tonight after work and thought that if I can stay off them for a month I might be up for a run! keep it up Cassie, if quitting were easy, nobody would smoke! It's worth it though. I know that first week can be a pain (and the second week to as I'm about to find out) but just tell yourself "I'm not a smoker" over and over again. Good luck! Hi Cass, Sounds like you're experiencing the normal first day quit symptoms. But if you can say they are not too bad, then you're doing terrific. When you're tired, go to sleep (even if it's not bedtime) . Be gentle with yourself, quitting is traumatic to your body and mind. I also had a headache for a couple of days, so keep aspirin handy - as well as vitamins to keep yourself strong. Stay close and post often. Congratulations on becoming a non-smoker!!!! Don't forget to drink you 8-10 glasses of water every day. Cass, Congratulations on your first day's quit! That is such a HUGE milestone and I personally am very proud of you. One foot in front of the other...and keep giving yourself POSITIVE talk. "I HAVE quit smoking" "I AM a non-smoker" "I WILL succeed" Your positive inner voice HAS to be louder than the whispers of temptation from Nicodemon Hang Tuff. We are here if ya need us! Hi Cass and well done on getting through the day, my head used to ache from all the tension to begin with as well but once you get a bit more comfortable with your quit that will go away. A 5km walk is a great way to beat the craves and get some exercise at the same time.
