You did it! You had a terrible day and you got through it, good for you. It gives me hope for when I get a bad day or 2. Keep Strong. Hi Shadoww,I have had my own share of blah days too. I say leave the clothes in the dryer and climb into bed. The housework can wait. Unfortunately it will still be there when you get up. lol. We all need a PJ day once in awhile. Take yours. You deserve it after 35 days. Glad to see that you're feeling better.....good days generally follow bad ones ;) sometimes early on, where you are, we tend to forget that there were bad days even 'before' quitting??? Don't let the fact that you are still on NRT nag at you....there is nothing wrong with using an aid...while there IS still some nicotine in your system from it, you are NOT smoking....and you are learning to cope with that without the stress of cold turkey. There are sites that will say you can't quit successfully with NRT....I say bull!!! Just use your aid as directed and continue to 'wean' yourself.....you will be just fine.....there are just times of roller coastering when you quit...nrt OR cold turkey. hang tough......and don't forget to REWARD yourself.....some for everyday and some for milestones....get a reward plan made. katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1505 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60,237 Amount Saved: $8277.5 Life Gained: Days: 196 Hrs: 10 Mins: 15 Seconds: 56

Even with NRTs there are nasty times to deal with....but NRT as a whole, takes the edge off the cravings. NRTs are 'weaning' tools....they can be helping us in ways that we aren't really noticably aware of? Jumping cold turkey off the nrt might possibly make things worse for a few days. I would stick with my initial program.....I am betting that things will improve in a couple of days. I also had a few weeks of feeling so TIRED....at first my sleep was sporadic and then later I needed naps every chance I could get! quitting is just a struggle for a while....moreso for some than others. I didn't wean off my patches for 12 weeks.....but by that time, I hardly realized it when I quit wearing one. You decision to hang tough for a spell is a good one. Believe me....things WILL begin to get better Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1503 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60,152 Amount Saved: $8266.5 Life Gained: Days: 196 Hrs: 3 Mins: 34 Seconds: 41

Shadow, 35 days is awesome! Will it really be the end of the world if the laundry doesn't get done. Instead do a little something for you! Take a long bath, read a book and give yourself a little pamper time. It can make a difference, protect your quit! Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
