As I approach the 10 to 11 week no smoking period, I am worried about water retention. The last two time I tried to quit my body decided to swell up at the 10/11 week mark.
Has anyone else had problems with water retention, and what did you do to help alleviate the problem. Any advice or ideas would be helpful
Hoping that this time I will not have the problem, because I am using a different approach to quitting.

Hi Aubanki, I asked about this last week. I am also going through this, but I also noticed that it was when I started to excercise that it has really become a problem. I have been drinking A LOT of water. Plus sitting in a very hot bath. (this was after some research on the web about sugestions on what to do for water retention). I did go out and buy a diuretic because it got so bad. Drinking the 8 8oz glass of water a day seems to have helped a great deal. I continue to excercise and NOT SMOKE. I am still gainning weight but I'm learning about the foods to stay away from.
A friend on the site helped me with the diet, weight gain concern I have by telling me about SPARK on the web. It is a .com site and has some great ways to help with diet and excercise.
Good luck
