ArwensMom, how are you doing today? I had a really tough day 8 as well...weird huh? Day 9 was a bit better and day 10 was way better. Congrats on hanging tough. You should really be proud of yourself for not caving in to the demon. I had a much higher comfort level with my quit after making it through that horrible day 8, I hope you will as well. We may always be junkies, but we can beat the demon! Keep it up ArwensMom I'm with you! Arwensmom, You Kick ole Nicodemon's Ash to the curb. Don't you dare let him win out over you. You are whippin this thing, so just keep on doin it. Then go to your Co-Worker and ask him is he CRAZY? How could he possibly offer to buy a pack for a person that is trying to quit? That is quite possibly the most incensitive thing I personall have ever read on this site. You are doin great. Keep up the good work. Just Say N.O.P.E. I hate to say this, but have you TRIED not thinking about smoking? I can still work myself into a craving frenzy after 50 days quit just by not letting go of a crave. And I know it's NOT a fun way to feel. But to have a crave for the entire day? You are feeding it just by concentrating so much on it. You had some good advice from folks. I truly hoped you used it......keep us posted My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/19/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 50 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 764 Amount Saved: $337.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 23 Seconds: 53

what do you want to do? Because this is totally up to you. We can try to give you advice, what has worked for us, pat you on the back, try to help you overcome the addiction, but the bottom line is you are either a non-smoker or not. Like redrosie, I sense a lot of doubt in your posts - you are trying to justify starting back up again because you are afraid. You have been handling the quit for 9 days now. You said that your breathing has gotten better. You are no longer "coughing up cupfuls of mucus". But either you pull it together and stop thinking of smoking and move on, or you don't. Don't let junkie thoughts control your life. We are all behind you in this quit. Good luck today...... Arwensmom, After reading all these posts, I am very concerned that you may be close to giving up. Please don't, you are at day 9 already. It will get better, I promise. There is also no shame in using some kind of NRT to help you get through this rough stage. I am assuming you are a cold turkey? Please keep posting and stay strong. You can be a business owner and a non-smoker. Arwmen must love how fresh his house and Mom smell. You go tell your co-worker that you can not have a cigarette. You are pale because you are a drug addict like me. In my opinion, humble as it may be, you are in the perfect environment. Who wants to smoke when you are brushing a sweet pup. Give a dog a kissy! Look how bad they think smoke is...they will turn their heads away from a smoker!!!! You can do this....
