Rob,
This is very good news. It sounds as if you are successfully getting over this hurdle in your quit. Keep up the great work, and remember we are always here for you.
Take Care,
Melanie

alexa,
Stay strong, make good use of your coping mechanisms. You can do this!!!!
Many members have experienced the very same urges around this time in their quit. The key is to resist and don't give in.
Take Care,

hey Bob, I'm 5 days in (this time) and was a 25-30 a day....not nice. my mum died of lung cancer very suddenly 2 years ago - we knew she had cancer for 2 days, she died. What can I say? I have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 beautiful step daughters. I'd like to be a grandparent.
Hi
I thought that something wrong with me because I have almost constant cravings. But I see that I am not alone. It's day 36 for me. I did not use any NRT. I quit with Wellbutrin and it was so easy in the beginning. But now it is a torture. I smoked for 40+ years so I guess I need more time than you, Rob, to have a peace of mind. Every day I hope that it will be the day without cravings. No such luck. Today I was trashing the house looking for a cigarette. I did not find any (my hubby quit more than 10 years ago). So I went to my car and found one. I looked at it, put it in my mouth, but I did not light it. I was telling myself that craving will pass, I will wait for 30 minutes and if it will not, I will smoke that damn cigarette. And craving did pass, but it did scare me how close I was to caving in. I read everywere that cravings should last first couple of weeks. Well, for me it's not true. I know that cravings will stiop eventually, but when? Sorry for rambling.

Just wanted to say thanks for the kudos from all of you. Didn't even know the replies were there. I spent the past 24 hours with headache, vomitting, and fever so I haven't even turned the computer on. If there was one thing good about having my exploding head in the toilet, it was that I didn't have one single crave!!! :gasp:
Oh well, now that I'm feeling better, guess what? Sucks.
Still, not one stinking puff in 61 days and waiting for freedom. May it come soon!

Somehow, I have made it to 60 days. Sheer effort most of the time, but I'm here anyway! Damned this addiction.
Right behind you RD man!
