kitty,
Now that you have quit smoking, you will notice others or more examples of where you see others smoke. Could it be our increased awareness of the addiction or our heightened senses working? Whatever it is, lets be grateful that we are not the ones still coping with the addiction.
Take Care,
Melanie

I've totally noticed this since I quit. I can smell it on people, smell it in the air after a smoker has gone by, cars next to me, etc etc etc...But I always did notice it in movies, because it would make me want one, and there's no smoking in theatres here.

I am in Florida and it's not allowed inside down here! I am glad because if I am not killing myself with cigs I don't want to do it with someone's second hand smoke either!

I never noticed how many people smoke in movies. I was watching a movie with one of my friends last nite and it seemed everyone in the movie smoked. Everytime i saw someone light up i would say "wow another person smoking". My friend kept laughing and looking at me like i was crazy, that i actually notice this. I also notice people smoking in cars while im driving. Its like everyone around me is smoking. Am i crazy? Does this happen to anyone else?

I actually heard there are aliens sent down by the tobacco industry's mother ship to trick us. There could be some right here on the site. (Do I need to insert a disclaimer here).lol. I, too, can smell smoke from passing cars....so stinky, and from houses when I walk.
The most interesting bit of smoking news is this person who had a face transplant is SMOKING. Hello.... What is that??
Have a great smoke free day you all!
NOPE,
Janet

I don't think so, Melanie. I think it's a conspiricy by the tobacco companies to trick us back to smoking by making us think we're now in the minority.
The tobacco industry's covert information gathering network is so sophisticated it shames the FBI's and CIA's combined. As soon as someone quits, they know it. Then they pull out all the stops to make the person feel like the oddball, hoping that psychological pressure coupled with the real addiction withdrawal will cause the person to relapse to smoking, thereby restoring their cashflow.
ATTENTION ALL QUITTERS: It is all an illusion. Do not fall for the sham! All those people are on the tobacco companies' payrolls. Many of them are not even smokers. Some aren't even real people.
