Alcoholics take it one day at a time...at this point I'm taking it a minute at a time.
It sounds silly, but I bought a "teach yourself harmonica" set today. The activity for my hands and the concentration on breathing seems to be helping a bit.
good idea doinit. I haven't played mine in quite a while - I'll have to break 'em out. I remember (this is going to sound weird - good thing this is anonymous) when I quit for over a year before (I now - how/why did I start again) - one of the things I'd do when I couldn't sleep was go for a bike ride and play harmonica while riding down the road - can't do that as a smoker.
good job and enjoy. keep on keepin' on - fish

Learning how 2do do something new is a terrific way 2occupy your mind.
It took me a while 2remember 2breath slowly N the beginning so I think U are on to something good.
Keep up the great ideas.
