Effective medications with low side effects?

Welcome Goodluck,

When it comes to medical advice it is always best to talk to your Doctor or Pharmacist. We cannot give medical advice here but other members can share their experiences.

Have you tried any form of therapy in addition to the medication that you are on? Exercise, therapy and self help strategies can work just as well if not better when it comes to treating mild to moderate depression. In addition there are no side effects.

This program here is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy principles and is proven to help in just a few sessions. It does take work but if you stick with it you will notice a difference. How could you integrate this program into your plan to get well?

Hello,

I am new here and this is my very first post.  I've been reading through the other posts, but not really finding the information that I was looking for, so I hope I am doing this right by starting a new discussion...

I have been on many medications over the years for depression/anxiety and have found Effexor to work well for my emotions, but is awful for side effects (especially sweating and withdrawl is torture).  My doctor had me try Pristiq, but I find I am still sweating like crazy and I'm not feeling much better.  I used to take Celexa, but it seemed to stop working for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions and/or similar experiences?  I would love to go to my doctor armed with information so that we can make an informed decision together.

Thanks!
