You have come to the right place. We will support you through this. Unfortunately, many people are ignorant to mental disorders like Depression and do not realize that you can't "just get over it". We do understand though and this program coupled with the support group will give you the tools you need to find relief. 
 
It is quite common for individuals to lose themselves when trying to make others happy; it's even common for some people to have never found themselves.  It takes time but you will find you and what you find fufilling.  Who do you want to be? What do you think your authentic self is like? What qualities, skills, interests, etc. Try to speak from your heart and not from your Depression.  I know it can be hard to seperate the two, but remember you are not your depression or your circumstance.
 
Start by thinking about these questions. Try not to feel overwhlemed.  You will not have a complete answer over night.
 
Also, make a schedule for yourself to work on the program. The program is a lot of work but if you put the work into it you will notice changes.  We will be here if you have questions.

I am a newbie here...just starting out.  I've never done any type of blogging or mailroom chatting so forgive me if I seem stupid and out of sync with the rest of you. I am here because I am broken; mentally, spiritually, emotionally.  Reading through some of these strings here, it is comforting to know that I am not alone. I've told myself for years now that I am depressed because I'm menopausal, or I have thyroid issues; but the reality is I've spent so much of my time changing all my behaviours to suit everyone else, that I've completely lost who I am.  I am resentful to those closest to me because I preceive they just don't care what I've done to "improve" my negative behaviourisms it just hasn't been enough.  I'm tired of being told I misinterpreted what someone else said, or did and that I should be "put on my big girl panties" and "just get over it.  I weary of feeling like nothing I do is ever quite good enough. 
 
So my journey begins... I am glad to be here.  I truly want to enjoy life again and "love the skin I'm in".
