Thanks for your feedback. You are right Strength 18, it depends a lot on what a person does about it. And I want to get better. I went to the hospital the other night, and the doctor told me that once I start the meds again, it'll take at least 2 weeks to even start feeling better. And that I might feel worse before I feel better.. and another few weeks after reaching maximum dose. Plus she told me that for these few weeks that I should not hesitate to take my Clonazepam for the increased anxiety. She also assured me that if I take the same meds I was on, if they worked then they will work again. I also had her refer me to the mental health clinic, where I can get care of doctors, psychiatrists & counselors. That means free counseling which is good. I didnt think I needed counseling, but I'm sure it can't hurt. So that's the good news. Thanks again, ;) FF Oh and also I want to do this program, but my printer is put away so I can't print the first homework lol. Will have to work on that ;).

Hi Ffirecracker,

I know sometimes all we really want is answers, proof, statistics.... but sometimes life isn't black and white. There are so many factors....and a big part of this is time and effort you put in to getting better. I can definitely assure you that this program helped me tremendously, it allowed me to learn more about depression, about how to tackle it and how to be more open with others. I have come a long way, and although I continuously work on bettering myself and stabilizing my moods I can definitely say that this site and the program was a huge part in my recovery and working towards my goals. If you have any questions or need support, we are here and the health educators are here too.

Hi FFirecracker,

We don't have a set number of how many people recover. We do see in the follow up surveys an overall improvement in reported mood.

Sorry I can give you a definite answer.

I know it is scary to think you may be struggling for a long time with depression but try not to look too far ahead in the future. Take it one day at a time.

Actually I'm only interested in knowing how many people actually beat their depression, whether or not they did the work, be it through meds, just sharing whatever. I'm in a state of panic right now, I don't see the end of this. I don't want to spend the rest of my life struggling with this. Not even close.

One of the things I value most about the Evolution Health Centers is the safety and anonymity. I surely hope they do not use my "stats" as incentive or disincentive for individuals to do the work. Sounds to me like you are scared and because you are also depressed you don't want to waste your efforts here if there are no guarantees. Very understandable. I think we may all feel that way in the beginning. Nevertheless, rest assured that there is indeed a "Satisfaction Guaranteed, or your money back!" it's more implied than stated, but it's still there if you look for it. I believe you can find it on the last lesson, but only if you take the other lessons first

Yes i have visited the thread, even posted on there. I was rather curious as to how many people have come to these forums, and are now 'gone' as a result of feeling better, thus not needing to come here so much anymore.

Check the success stories in the forums to get more shared experiences by others who know what you are going through. The experiences vary, but many do have success using the program at their own pace. Many members have lagged in posting, but have e-mailed us indicating they are taking their time to go through each and every step to help them progress.

Each account of success is worth posting!

To all Health Educators, I assume you've been following a lot of people on these forums. Can you tell us how many approximately, have dropped off the forums because they no longer needed it? We all know that people come on message boards & forums & browse the web in search for help for depression, when they are feeling depressed.

We also know that most people stop visiting the same forums & browsing & posting when they are well again. Can you tell us your experience in that regard? I think it would be encouraging to know if quite a bit of people were here, like us, but got better again, well enough to stop coming if that makes sense ;). If some have been here forever, what is their story? So that we can see what works and what doesn't? Thanks in advance,
