Hi pinkminke
So glad you've found someone with whom you can relate - already. I also am glad that you've made your way here and agree with the others you will find some great benefits in working the program...it's at your own pace. However, I found setting aside a specific time to do it was helpful.
I don't think you should hide your depression from your boyfriend. I dothink the session on relationships might help (it has me) and also to help him be educated on depression. There are many websites that offer information, education, and suggestions to family/friends of person who have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety.
I can also relate to the stressors of school and it interfereing with education. I was working on my doctorate when I noticed as someone else did, looking back, it had been building for over a year. I did take a break, did not go back and complete my doctorate - but I'm in a very different age bracket and other issues (putting a son through law school, death of my parents, etc) changed my perspective on things. btw, I was a counseling major. Master's in counseling working on doctorate in counseling. hmmmm, commone themes (lol, except my age).
I hope you stick around; you'll find great interest and feedback from the participants as you've seen and we all look forward to hearing how you are doing as well as your thoughts, opinions and experiences on what we share. We value your insight!
Keep on posting.......
