Don't forget it's not too late to tell your doctor to sign you up for therapy. Not trying to sound hopeless; but if you don't need in a year; then don't go. But at least you'll have that option. so glad to see you posting and hope to hear more from you. It sounds like you've got alot of insight to share.
Members here can certainly understand what you have been going through. You are not alone.
I am glad to hear that you are feeling much better now! Working through the program and posting here will certainly help. I am looking forward to getting to know you better.
I've been fighting demon this for years, but I've been on Venlafaxine XR for the last 18 months. So far, its the only thing that has helped. I've tried others, but I could never get through the intitial adjustment period. I suppose this med was the same, but I was just so desperate, I fought through it.
I can't afford to pay for therapy and when my Dr. told me (a year and a half ago) that it would take at least 10 months to get in to see someone through OHIP...I just told her to forget it. Silly me. Little did I realize that had I gone with that plan, I'd be seeing someone regularly now. Doh!
I do feel much, much...MUCH better than before....when I couldn't get of the couch to do pretty much anything...including showering...yeah, gross...but I'm thinking most of you get it. I know that this has a lot more to do with my past than I'd care to admit, but thats why I'm here...I'm going to go through the program and I know that with your help I can get healthy again!
I'll look forward to getting to know you over the next few weeks.
