As a university student, many moons ago, I had no idea what was happening to me and used alcohol to self-medicate. I loved it because it was a quick fix. -Sorry to the moderators and those against the alcohol but at the time it helped- Of course it was no long-term solution.
how do medication and alcohol fit together for you?

This is hard to do, as I've been "down in the dumps" for quite some time, years in fact.
I have been on and off medication and go through ups and downs, lefts and rights i am my own worst enemy at times in that sometimes i don't take my medication, so my first step is to commit myself to taking my medicine. My second step is to stop drinking, as this is causing me to do stupid things and put me in terrible hideous situations that make the depression 100 times worse than it needs to be.
My third thing for now, is look on this site and talk to people help others and in turn learn how to help myself.
