HEy Cricket,

Well, I think Wildcat gave you good sound advice. I just wanted to drop in and say welcome to the forums! Please keep us posted.

Btw, I find positive visualisation and relaxation techniques help me a lot.

HI Cricket,

first, do not feel guilty for having been ill.  If you had a stroke, or fell into a diabetic coma you would be returning to work with the people all worried about you as well.

Ok depression has a stigma attached to it.  But you do not.  So the people at work will be concerned about you.  How are you?  are you better?  is everything back on track?  And if you do not want anyone to know - you do not have to tell them ... the standard polite answers are enough "fine",  "better- thanks".

The fierst day or two is a bit of a challenge to get back into the routein.  And then it is work as usual, so be careful if work is what exhausted!

and WELCOME!!

Criket,

Welcome and yes you will gain knowledge, support and assistance throughout the site. The program can help you with tips and tools to help prepare and combat those bad days. Take the time to do a search in the forums and ask questions.  The members have been where you are and can provide assistance and experience to help guide you.

Use relaxation techniques to help calm you before bed, during a break and at the end of the day.  This will help your mind focus and your body de-stress.

Well hello there,
I'm 26 and have been treated for depression for many years now. I have just started new medications and am going to counseling on a regular basis. But i'm hoping that through this website that i will gain more knowledge about depression and maybe get some support and tips/tricks from others that might help me out.
I have been off of work for about a week now and will be returning in a few days. If anyone has any advice on how i can help my self stay calmer on my first day back i would appreciate it. I have so much anxiety about going back to work that i'm actually afraid to go back to work.
I think it's because i work for a small company maybe 16 people and they all know that i was in the stress center and why i was off of work.
Any advice would be appreciated
Criket
