I belive that depression has come to identify me. I am 45 and really have nothing outwardly to be depressed about yet I hardly remember feeling any different. I can no longer differentiate between symptoms I'm experiencing and my basic personality. I feel "heavy" and tired most of the time. I am lethargic, apathetic, sad, weary and subsociable. Life is empty and meaningless. I have interests and things I am drawn to but do not bother pursuing. Even if I manage that much, there is still no enjoyment. I am conscious of the fact that things are not right and have an inkling of who I'd like to be but the chasm seems too great to leap. The most worrysome of all though is that if these are only symptoms then what will remain if ever they go? Anyone relate? Anyone recover? Need help!
