Many thanks for the 2 replies I have received already. They are much appreciated. This is a very quick message as it is early morning where I live. I would love to hear the experiences and views of others as I am so new to this. Hopefully we may be able to help one another which would be really good.
All the best.
MRB,
You've come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen find our Depression Test and Depression Program. The resources can be very useful to you. Many members have raved about our CBT Buddies, which is like Yahoo or MSN.
The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. Take your time to start the Program and go slow, it will help you.
If you ever have any questions or concerns please click the "CONTACT US" link at the bottom of the page. We're open to any questions or concerns you may have. Our online support group is also very supportive and knowledgeable. Don't hesitate to post as often as you like.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Josie

Welcome
As Kendy stated...it can take a while for others to respond.
I hope you find the help you want and need here. From my own experience CBT can be very effective.
Although this site is a great concept, I do find some features difficult to navigate. For example, the topic icons have no tags and I'm not really sure how they are meant to be used. However, just by exploring the site you'll figure most things out.
Don't be shy about posting...I'd like to see things pick up here.
Good Luck

Welcome. This is kind of a slow moving board so don't get discouraged if it takes a while for people to respond. I also have major depression but also have dysthemia and generalized anxiety disorder.
Hope you find some help here.
Kendy
Hi all
This is just a quick message to introduce myself. I am a 45 year old male and I have been on long term antidepressants for over 10 years. I am currently on venlafaxine 150 mg and have found this the most effective medication I have been on. Recently however I have been feeling more "low" than normal and this is why I have just started the Depression Program. I don't know if it will help or how much but think it's worth a try. I hope I manage to get this posting right as I am not familiar with the software.
Good luck to evryone else on the Program
