Hey vickers!
Sorry to hear about what you have been through the last few days. Funerals are a big deal for people like us to go through. I guess our greatest fear.
I remember googling once that feeling dizzy and lightheaded is the 3rd most common reasons to see a doctor.
For instance I've been working a lot and am short on sleep. The last couple of days I have had a few weird eye moments.
You know that I'm not big on the drug issue but I have found that xanax is a wonderful thing. It does not alter your personality, only last 6-12 hours. You are still fully operational, you are just calmer. I've had 2 prescriptions in one year and they have really gotten me through some bad days.
Relax, keep your chin up, your gonna be okay! Just give yourself a few days to get over the trauma of the funeral. Get some extra sleep and find some things to busy yourself.
vickers,
Have you tried relaxation techniques? What about breathing techniques? For tonight, prepare by reducing your anxiety level as much as you can. Try a hot bath, some soothing music or a warm beverage? Tomorrow do sign up for the Panic Diary where you can record your daily level of anxiety. You can also find how helpful it is to use breathing techniques to help you deal with your panic and anxiety. The Panic Program can help you understand more and may help you go about challenging your thoughts.
Take Care,
Melanie

Hey Vickers!!
Sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad. However I can definately understand where you are coming from. I have had such a headache for the past three weeks (my neck is all messed up)and its making my sight seem "off" if you know what I mean and I get dizzy and see stars sometimes too. Because of this happening, I am panicing and thinking of the most retarded things that I can come up with that make me panic anymore...like for instance...I have something wrong with my brain, even though I know it is my neck that is causing the pain. Anyways, I am not sure how you cope with your panics, but you were saying that you were panicing due to a death recently in your life and also at work. Those are definately panic triggers. Have you ever thought about working out? I try to work out 4-5 times a week and since I have been working out, I find that the stress level is less than it was before and other than this damn headache, everything is manageable. I also do deep breathing exercises when I get panicky. I hope that my venting and also my suggestions help you in this situation and any further panics you may come across. Good luck and keep your chin up!
I'm having a really bad day today. I am so incredibly dizzy and light headed right now! I've been real dizzy all day off and on and right now it's really bad. We went to a funeral yesterday and I'm wondering if I'm just stressed about all the emotions that go with that. I had a really bad time being anxious at the funeral and afterwards but felt better after we got home. I went to work today and had a huge panic attack and just kind of dealt with it all day as usual. I started feeling better, but right now, I am just seriously flying! Maybe I'll just go to bed and try to calm down. I feel like I'm dying or something! I know that's just the panic talking, but right now, there's not a whole lot of logic going on inside.
