Celebrating the smoke free life

for 16 år siden 0 1890 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Brilliant stats, Stickin' !!  You've got it about the distractions for sure... I have developed a motor-tic that involves jumping out of my chair as soon as a smoke-thought intrudes and humming like an idiot as I go to the fridge for more ice for my water. The only criticism I have about La-Z-boys is that they BANG! like a pistol when I drop the foot plate... scares the living midnight out of me at 2 am.....

Wonderful to hear from you Stormy!  It has been such a very long time.  Look at you Stormy; look at how well you have done.  Thank you for the complements however you are the one the one that made it happen.  You are the hero!  Great to hear from you BC, you have got to be feeling great, approaching your one year anniversary.  We a have found that it just keeps getting better and better, haven’t we?!  We have taught ourselves well l that we do not need cigarettes to fill a void.  Best wishes to you Trooper, I remember month four, really not that long ago, and you appear to be well on your way to a successful quit.  Thank you as always Josie for being there for everyone.  And to you Beckylynn, you are making history!

I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to one of the best quitters on this site. You have been such an inspiration to me throughout my quit. Reading your posts whenever I thought I might lose the fight always knocked the "nicodemon" back and for that I am grateful. I have learned alot from you stickin, oh wise one.

No more automatically going through my purse looking for my smokes.
No more smelling like a walking ashtray.
No more worrying if I have anough cigs to get me through the next day.

Again, Congrats. Your stats look awesome! That's proof in itself that this is soooo doable.

Good for you Stickin.

You have all kinds of reasons to celebrate and thank goodness you feel like doing it.

Too many stories of illness showing up after the quit. Stick to what works. Don't smoke.

Hello Everyone

I too was looking for and have found ways to remain smoke free.  The short answer is plain ordinary distractions. Finding, selecting and sticking to the ones that are going to work for you and that bring positive results.

I celebrate today several milestones: 850 day (28 smoke free months) 15,000 not smoked, $5,000 saved (same as $175/month) and 5 months of added life and these are only the stats.  How about how I feel, how much easier it is  to breathe now, don't cough, hack or stink.  Don't look for matches, head to the store at 2am, wake up with the desire or go to bed with it.  Just to name some of the positves.

All because
Sticking To It
