Smoking won't make things easier.
You will g back to square 1 looking at Hell and Heck Week.
Come on,don't smoke. Just rest or take a long walk, or have some ice cream. Things do get better!!! Remember hell and heck week. Those were really nasty. Reward yourself qith something, maybe a hot long shower!!
Hang on my friend. If I can do it, you can do it!

Hey!!!
You sound EXACTLY like me- even the words you chose for the title of your message!
I was SOOOO sure I was not going to make it a couple of days back- and was saved by the people here on this site, who are absolutely amazing.
there are bad days, but they are always followed by good ones. I went through a phase of several bad ones- so I had given up on finding the light again- almost.
Well- believe me, please (and you can see how frustrated and scared I was 2 days ago by reading my post): IT GETS BETTER!!! No real reason, no big difference or insight between now and a few days ago, between the weak days and the strong, its just: you wake up one morning, and the sun is shining. Finally. Again. And you are capable of being grateful.
Stray with us.

Mamma D  Don't you even think about going back now. Maybe you've got it beat but just don't know it yet. You've made it this far and you can go farther one day at a time. Be as proud of yourself as we are of you. Excellent.  breather.

It DOES get easier MammaD........exactly when for each Quitter varies.  I was having bad craves at 60-70- days as were many others......then things started letting up.
It just plain takes a while for our brains to learn we aren't addicts anymore.  Stay Strong......it WILL be worth all of it.
Grab hold of the hands here.......we'll help get you through.

Mamma, you are two days away from reaching the cruise ship!  The big 50 smoke free days!!!  Congratulations on your success!  Sorry you are having some tough days.  Just remember that smoking isn't going to fix, reduce, ease, repair, replace, bring back, erase, delete, or any other verb whatever is causing you stress.  Deep breaths, fresh air, and exercise are great ways to help with the stress and family issues.  Other ideas are drinking lots of iced water, changing your scenery, reading here, and rewarding yourself.  Are you rewarding yourself regularly?  Come back and post as often as you need.  Somebody is always here!  And please be sure to stop back on your 50 day milestone!  We all want to welcome you aboard the ship!

Mamma D,

Sorry to hear you have been having a tough time in your quit. However, you are still keeping the right attitude and are motivated to remain smoke-free. That's great news!

Exercise, fresh air, and deep breaths all seem like good ideas, the perfect combination to battle those cravings. Have a good time while you are and don't forget to recognize all of your achievements thus far. You are doing an amazing job, remember that!

Keep us posted on how the remainder of the day goes for you. Be well and good luck.

Sarah

Did not expect to be having such a tough time at this point.  Have been kinda frustrated lately with family issues but not giving in to lighting up.  I realize there will always be "issues" which is just  life.  I will take deep breaths and get some fresh air and exercise; which should help.  I just want to feel better!!!!  Will check back in later.  Just a bit down today.   Taking myself out for a while.
