This morning was just horrible. I woke up at 3am wanting a cigarette so bad, if I had one available I might just have caved. The tension hits my neck the worst, which makes my right hand go numb with pain, pins and needles. I laid there for two hours trying to get back to sleep. Finally I got up, took a couple of aspirins, cut a 2mg nicotine gum in half and put a neck massager around my neck. I've got a TENS unit, later when my husband wakes up, I'll dig it out and use that.
Saturday I had a bad craving that I tried to deal with by deep breathing. Unfortunately, my deep breathing turned into hyperventilating and I couldn't catch my breath at all.
I'm well over 100 days still with cravings, I've seen others get them at over 200 days, but sometime after 500 days there aren't many at all. Time is on my side. All I have to be is persistent. If it doesn't kill me first.
