Oh, your not alone! I get that a few times a day! Like where you can quit yawning and feel like you NEED TO SLEEP! It comes and goes but it is there. Hang in there, this too shall pass!

Joonie,
To this day I occasionally have days that I just can't stay awake. Today was one of those days. I think it is our body still healing. So pay attention to your body, it is trying to tell you something. And the weather has a lot to do with mine, it was overcast and raining. I have to have lots of light, I quit in Jan and there were a lot of dreary days, and there was a lot of sleeping going on in my house.
Congratulations on your 24 days, you are doing great so hang on tight and if you can just lay down and sleep do it... :)
Be blessed,
SUNSHINE

Strange feeling today that I haven't had since the first quit week. I felt sleepy, you know, the kind of sleepy that you feel when you haven't had a cig for hours!? It wasn't a craving either. Strange feeling to have all the sudden and was unexpected. Anyone else had this sensation?
Still love the line....Crave the Quit!
and still a lunatic...Joonie

Thanks Josie. Guess not a common feeling at that time in the quit. It was so strange though and came out of nowhere. I haven't had it again. I've read where many that stop smoking get sleepy for the first couple of weeks but I never felt that way so the sensation was a surprise to me. Still hanging in.
Joonie

joonie,
Your symptoms will be unique. Take some you time and get the rest you need! We will be here in the morning :)
If this continues, check with your doctor to rule out anything medical.
Keep Strong,
Josie
